Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (2024)

Bloons Tower Defence has prided itself on being a franchise that goes bigger each and every time, and Bloons TD 6 is a game with a massive amount of playtime that can be sunk in. This is not only due to the large number of modes that players can try out, but also due to the large variety of maps available in the game.

Ninja Kiwi is still adding new maps regularly at different levels of difficulty, and while not every map is a winner, there are some completely unique and great maps that change the course of the gameplay entirely.

7 Candy Falls

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (1)

While there are a lot of levels based on various ideas and properties, the Willy Wonka-inspired level is surely the best homage in all of Bloons TD 6. Candy Falls is set on a pink track over a chocolate river which allows for plenty of buccaneers and monkey subs without taking up all the farming space potential.

There are also Easter Eggs on this map, players can click in certain locations and find monkeys dressed as Oompa Loompas who pop their heads out. Candy Falls is a long and winding beginner map, easy to help new players get the hang of different potential strategies because it offers some turns where tack shooters are perfect, other twists that are great for boomerangs or ninjas, and has enough overlapping areas that wide-ranging monkeys are highly useful as well.

6 Underground

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (2)

One of the higher-level maps which is much beloved by players is the Underground. A complex map that offers a unique challenge with two overlapping rail tracks that players can attempt to navigate in a variety of ways. Underground may not have any water available as submarines would be just too perfect for it, but there are overlaps between the two short sides of the track that can be taken advantage of.

Whether players choose to use specific targeting measures on certain towers or go for AOE damage in the form of tack shooters, there are ways to deal with Underground, and players will feel highly rewarded for managing it. The biggest positive is that there is still plenty of farming space around the sides, so if players can get a farm strategy started in the difficult early rounds they will be off to the races whatever the game mode.

5 Skates

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (3)

Another beginner map that provides a lot of different strategic opportunities, Skates is the perfect map to go for a heavy submarine or tradesman farming strategy because of the large central pool of water. However, with the early opening twists and turns there are also opportunities to stop most bloons from getting even halfway through the track.

One of the best methods is using Monkey Buccaneers in the pool to do the bulk of farming, if upgraded to farm using their bottom path then a single central market farm would be a great buff, this strategy is notable on Skates due to the lack of farming space relative to other low-level maps.

4 Downstream

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (4)

An intermediate map that has been noted in the past for being tricky to get started on at the beginning of a round, players will have to get their first towers down and try to unlock the best spots for tower placement in the middle of the two circles via a bit of cash. This is unlikely to happen in the earliest rounds, so players will have to think their way around that, to begin with.

After those are unlocked, there is a lot of valuable real estate available where a number of towers can be placed. Farming space is low, and the water is frustratingly limited, making a number of strategies heavy on one tower difficult to enact. Instead, players will be all but forced to use a solid mixture of various options.

3 End Of The Road

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (5)

One of the strangest looking maps in the game, End of the Road is a beginner map with some bite as the track is just so short. It can be difficult for novice players to see where the advantage is, but the biggest one is that any tower placed will be able to hit bloons coming out and going back. In later levels, this begins to become quite the problem, but there is another massive advantage.

While most towers need to be placed near the track, and there is almost no water available, snipers and other wide-range monkeys can be placed far from the track and still do huge damage. Additionally, there is almost endless farming space available on the map to get the most out of the map’s possibilities.

2 Resort

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (6)

One of the most pleasant looking maps as well as one which is very forgiving to beginner players, Resort is a great place to go achievement hunting for a number of difficult ones such as two-tower CHIMPS. It is also a place perfect for learning a number of towers. The small space for one tower that is central to the track is on the right-hand side and can only fit one tower, but is a great place to put a glaive lord or a high-level tack shooter.

Additionally, plenty of water space which is also central to the track, and the solid farming space make this a great map to learn almost any tower or strategy on. Nothing is ruled out as an option on Resort, and thus it is great for any number of things, both for new and old players.

1 Cubism

Bloons TD 6: Best Maps, Ranked (7)

Possibly the most beautifully designed map in the game and the favorite track of a huge number of Bloons TD 6 players, Cubism is the ultimate map for twisting back on itself and giving players the opportunity to hit bloons several times with a well-placed tower. There is water available, there is farming space, and there are ideas and capabilities for any tower.

Cubism does nothing to limit strategy and so it is the most pleasantly open map in the game. No idea can’t be tested here, and no idea is too insane to possibly work. Cubism is another beginner map, but it is more than that, it is the map players hope bosses will be on, and the one that they will use to test many strategies and go achievement hunting on.
